 Geothermal Heating & Cooling

Geothermal energy is the heat from the Earth. Geothermal power is cost effective, reliable, sustainable, and environmentally friendly. Each apartment home at Canyon Crossing is heated and cooled with geothermal energy.

 LED Lighting

LED lighting can be more efficient, durable, versatile and longer lasting. LED bulbs use only 10% the power of an incandescent and 50% of a CFL. That could save a standard household up to $238 a year in electricity costs. They last between 30,000 to 50,000 hours. All exterior and interior lighting at Canyon Crossing are equipped with LED Fixtures or bulbs.

Energy Savings…

Tankless Water Heaters

Tankless units (also called “on demand” units) heat water only when you turn on the faucet. They usually operate on natural gas or propane. The main advantage is that they eliminate the extra cost of keeping 40 to 50 gallons of water hot in a storage tank, so you waste less energy.

Programmable Thermostats

Each apartment home at Canyon Crossing is equipped with a programmable thermostat giving our residents one more way to increase their energy efficiency and save money.


Energy star rated appliances help reduce utility costs and greenhouse gases and are environmentally friendly.

Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV)

With an ERV system, fresh air is conditioned before entering each apartment home. To use proper ventilation recovery is a cost-efficient, sustainable and quick way to reduce global energy consumption and give better indoor air quality and protect the environment.
